Venus in Scorpio / Scorpio in Love

"Scorpios either love you to death or you’re dead to them"

When your Venus is in Scorpio, this planet is in it's exile.
This means that the planet's power struggles to express itself freely here.
A person with a certain planet in exile will be challenged in the field of said planets' theme.
In this case, Venus in exile, the challenge is the expression of love and affection.
Since Scorpio's main drive is emotional security and they're so obsessed with power, they don't open up and show affection easily.
They believe this makes them vulnerable and gives other people power over them.
They don't open up about themselves but they do want to know everything about you by trying to get into your subconscious.
This is how they want to make sure they have more power over you than you have over them in order not to get hurt or used.

This makes Venus in Scorpio people the ones who are most picky with their partners and don't fall in love easily.
Venus in Scorpio people often fall in love with someone they can't have and then won't ever get over them - someone who is taken or completely out of their league.
Sadly, this over-cautiousness in love could also make them appear cold or unloving.
A common mosconception is that Venus in Scorpio people are obsessed with sex as in they have it all the time with everyone. It's rather they take sex very seriously and to them its a deep conncetion that goes beyond the pysical.

The sign of extremes feels like it's either overwhelming, eternal love or nothing.
They're not the ones who will confess their love first, because they hate being in the position of the one who loves more - this makes them vulnerable and they fear the other person using this situation for their benefit.
That's why Scorpios are extremly cautious with expressing love. They don't want to hand the key to their heart to another person because they want to have control over it themselves.

Deep inside, this does give the Venus is Scorpio an odd satisfaction though - if they can never have that person, they can never lose them either.
They may not admit it, but they do enjoy this situation of obsessing over someone they will never actually be with. This is cruel but also strangely and tragically beautiful.

In reality, no venus sign owns more love than another venus sign, they just express it differently.
And as I've said before, it's most difficult and most challeging in the sign of Scorpio.

They probably think about it more than they have it and theyre the ones most likely to wait until marriage because sex is a big sacred thing to them.

As you may know, the ancient greeks used to watch the sky with the stars and planets and make up gods and stories and it was pretty much a daily soap opera for them.
This was the origin of astrology and that is where the archetypes come from.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, whose greek equivalent is Hades, the god of the underworld.
The story of how Hades fell in love therefore is a perfect example of Venus in Scorpio people!

As I've said before, this constellation stands for "Love in Exile".
And the story of Hades and Persephone matches this theme perfectly, since he kidnapped her to keep her in the underworld!

But read the whole story:

Hades and Persephone

One day Hades, God of the Underworld, saw Persephone and instantly fell in love with her.
Hades confided his secret in his brother Zeus, asking for help, so the two of them concocted a plan to trap her. As the girl (Persephone) played with her companions, they caused the ground to split underneath her.
Persephone slipped beneath the Earth and Hades stole her to the Underworld where he made her his wife.
Persephone’s mother, Demeter, begged her brother Hades to allow Persephone to come back to the livings, denoting that the young Persephone was not supposed to live in the underworld. Hades consulted with Zeus and they both decided to allow Persephone to live on earth for six months each year, while the rest of the time she would be on his side in the Underworld.
Before leaving the underworld, Persephone had been persuaded to eat four seeds of a pomegranate. In ancient mythology, to eat the fruit of one’s captor meant that one would have to return to that captor or country, so Persephone was doomed to return to the underworld for four months of the year. But she was allowed to spend the remaining two-thirds of the year with her Earth Mother, Demeter.
The myth of Hades and Persephone is associated with the coming of Spring and Winter: When Persephone comes to the Earth, it's springtime. When she descends to Hades, it is winter.

  5. I am a Venus in Scorpio and in love with another Venus in Scorpio. We were the same, a mirror to each other. He seeked revenge before he thought I would and hurt like no other. Now everything is so disturbing and hard to deal with that we mo longer speak. It's killing me inside and I always wonder if its the same for him.

  8. I'm a Venus in Aries in love with a Venus in Scorpio, but I'm also a female and I know how most men react when I openly admit my feelings for them - they run away scared. Nice information here though, thank you.

  9. My venus in scorp thought I was cheating, assumed.. and he cut contact with me. said it was over... I dont know how to get him back but I feel like Im going to go crazy without him. I dont know what to do. It feels like he doesnt care anymore, when he went from obsessively loving me to my bones to walking away. Late august he found out my friends schedule and said we should meet to exchange some things, I did.. he was smiling, and only talking business, now I'm confused. It hurts so much but I love him so much. I couldn't say it to him in fear he would say something hurtful in return. He said it was good to see me.. but hasn't made much contact since this.. I am so scared to think I lost him. He was really the love of my life and now I am completely distraught. I dont know what to do now..Its been since July that we broke up, and I still wish he would come back to me.

    1. You probably have done something to lose his trust on you. You must give him enough time to think and if he ever come back to you, you must demonstrate complete loyalty to him and only to him. Venus in Scorpio needs faithful and devoted lover. If we find these qualities in a lover, rest assure that we will make you feel as the luckiest person in the universe.

  11. The guy i still care about and I both have sun in scorpio and venus in scorpio. We dont talk anymore but we basically run parallel lives. I can't get him out of my head. He hasn't dated anyone since 2009. He's extremely picky and I am to. I've dated other people but in the end i still want him. I'm sure he thinks about me but when we see each other in the store we stare at each other from a distance then go our own ways. It sucks honestly. I guess my pride wont let him win and his pride won't let me win. Life sucks.

  12. After being in marriage with Clem for 8 years,he
broke up our marriage, I did everything possible to bring our marriage back but all
    was in
vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have
for him and for our two kinds, just to make a better mom to our kinds, and to protect my family. I
begged him with everything even with the name of our kinds, I made promises but he
    refused. I
explained my problem to someone online and she
    suggested that I should
rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell
    to bring
our marriage back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had
    no
choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me
    there
was no problem that everything will be okay before four
    days, that my
husband will return to me before four days, he cast the spell and
surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My husband
    called me, I
was so surprised, I answered the call and all he says was
    that he was
so sorry for everything that happened, that he is very very sorry for the pains he has put me and with our kinds, that he wanted us to
    return to
him, that he loves us so much. I was so happy and went to
    him with our kinds, that
was how we started living together happily again as one family, Since then
    I have
made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship
    problem, I
would be of help to such person by referring him or her to
    the only
real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own
    marriage problems and
who is different from all the other ones out there. Anybody
    could need
the help of the spell caster, his email and his cell phone contact. dr.oduduherbalhome@gmail.com call whassap +2348101571054
you can email him if you need his assistance in your

  13. I'm a Venus in Aries Sun in Pisces lady in love with a Venus in Scorpio Sun in Libra man. We're an odd pair, but our moon and rising signs have a lot of synastry.

I feel like Scorpio gets a bad rap. There are so many sad stories here. Maybe I'm in the honeymoon phase still after ten months, but I just want to say that this is the best relationship I've ever had.

My Venusian Scorp is very private, especially about sex (a little odd to my free attitudes, but whatever). He has a lot of body issues and shame (makes me sad, but it's also so fun to make him feel desirable). He can be moody, reserved and VERY protective. Honestly, if anybody hurt me, I hope I could restrain him from some kind of horrible retribution. I always know he loves me. He senses my needs before I know they exist. He is loyal.

One thing I'm learning is that Scorpio in Venus needs a lot of consistency, privacy and they need to feel desired.

To anybody out there reading this and getting freaked out about how all consuming, hot/cold and jealous Scorpio in Venus can be: these people will also love you like no other. They are amazing lovers. They will protect you, guard your darkest secrets and listen to you when others eyes would glaze over. Just never take them for granted, or make them feel ashamed for what they are

  16. Most of it is true..lm a libra sun female with a venus in scotpio rising. We do not fall in love easily and wait for the "right" person to come along. l would not say l have ever fell inlove with someone l could not have, maybe just a teenage crush l got over. We like our privacy and definitely have intense feelings. l have learnt though that being over possessive really does push ur opposite partner away. We do have a lot of pride and hate liars and people we cannot trust. I would say we make good partners if one is loyal to us and willing to meet us halfway. We do not forgive if betrayed!!

  17. I'm a Sun in Capricorn w/ Venus in Scorpio and my mate is Sun in Leo w/ Venus in Virgo. I'm a HUGE pervert and will always be the mushy one. He's more 'conservative' than I am in that department. I do agree with the fact that I am an 'all or nothing' kinda person. Very loyal and committed and feel deeply. The only thing I disagree with as far as being a Venus in Scorpio is possessive and jealous. Granted, I use to be a little jealous at time but since I am mature, I am not. I used to 'smother' him when I would call him all the time. lol

  18. I'd like to think of planets placements in signs in a more holistic manner-- such as every placement having an expression that depends on how much the person owns and develops the characteristics of said placement. For example, Scorpio is the sign of tests: it's related to the myth of Hercules/Heracles (and the tests he had to go through) and to struggle, chaos and inbalance, as opposed to Taurean stability and steadfastness; every planet that is in Scorpio in a natal chart is bound to be "tested"-- Venus in scorpio would mean, rather briefly, that the owner of that chart must exercise and pass the test of the properties of Venus: relationships, money and "love". Venus is put to trials, much like how Venus put Psyche through trials to test her love for Venus' son, Eros. This is precisely what the detriment in this position means (which is a totally different detriment from the one in Aries). This individual must put his love, his ability to harmonize and relate to people, to find value and appreciation and to use intelligence to find meaning, all through the ultimate test.

I find it also interesting that you use Hades and Persephone's tale to describe this placement (rather at face value) because, Scorpio, being the sign of turmoil, is also the sign most related to change/transmutation: in Scorpio Uranus is exalted and Mercury is said to find hierarchical rulership. Scorpio, through its trials and tribulations, makes the individual "die" and be "reborn", much like Persephone: when she is in the underwold, the greenery of Earth dies, only to be reborn when she comes back to be greeted by her mother. Venus in Scorpio symbolizes the power of change, and also of sacrifice/abstention in order to gain: if there was no autumn there wouldn't be a spring. This is another lesson which the Venus in Scorpio will eventually master.

The cauldron that is Scorpio enhances the individual's creative power; the clash of opposites that take place in Scorpio ignite the potential for artistic achievement. In esoteric astrology, for example, Scorpio is the sign (along Taurus and Sagittarius) of Harmony Through Conflict & Beauty. While the nature of expression differs in each sign (in Taurus as the Sensibility towards Beauty and Value and in Sagittarius as its expression in Culture and Education) in Scorpio it takes the form of Alchemy and Art: Venus in Scorpio, taking from Taurus sensibility and evaluation, creates and transforms and infuses with meaning, for then Sagittarius takes and impulses Cultural Achievement and the flourishing of humanity.

The lesson every individual with Venus in Scorpio must learn is how to transform and create beauty/value/meaning/relationships/"bridges" from/in chaos itself (unlike Libra's task of finding and maintaining balance). It's a perfect and beautiful (yet painful) position to have if one learns how to use it.

  19. Persephone is Virgo Venus and has never been associated with Venus in Scorpio!!! Where did this even come from? Scorpio character is Lilith or any other with similar threats.
