ReplyDeleteI'm a Venus in Aries female (Mars/Venus/Mercury conjunct in Aries, haha) and although I relate heavily to this I want to say, astrology seriously needs to catch up with changing social mores. I read The Ethical Slut when I was fifteen, and I've tried monogamy, but it just didn't work for me... Not because I need to have sex with lots of people. But the closure of heteronormative expectations makes me feel stifled and crazy. I'd rather don a chastity belt then be somebody's possession.
ReplyDeleteI've never cheated, but I've been accused of it a hundred times over. And I've been cheated on (didn't mind it that much except for the lying). Venus in Aries is independent. The advice is sound: never try to fence us in- keep us interested instead. Not just sexually, but intellectually, socially, physically... Go on adventures with us. Be up for challenges.
My best friend is also a Venus in Aries
And she's been happily married for six years now. Her husband and her are nonmonogamous and live abroad, traveling frequently. They're very happy, but their romance in no way resembles the stereotypes of marital bliss.
